Once again, thanks to all of you for the kind messages. For those of you who missed the announcement on air, allow me to summarize:

First off, I can't think of a better, more active virtual community than the Virtue community of City of Heroes. And, within that community, The Cape listeners and staff are some of the most amazing people one could hope to interact with on a virtual level. I love that I could help support and (hopefully) shape the community through my time as a DJ and staff member of The Cape.

However, lately, just supporting a virtual community hasn't been enough for me. I've had a calling--if you'll pardon the over-used phrase--to turn my desire of community building towards the real world. I recently signed up with Chicago Cares, a volunteer organization, in the hopes of supporting the real folks around me.

I'll still be peeking my head into the game from time to time and will remain a devoted Cape Radio listener.

It's just a problem of time. The older I get, the less I seem to have. And, while I still have the time, I felt it was more important that I use it to do some real world good.

I can't say more than I already have in the past for fear of further saddness... but I am so completely happy for you! You've certainly made your mark on The Cape and I know you'll do the same for the world and people around you. *huggles*

You will be very missed my friend, but I'm happy that you've decided to go give back to those in your community. I sort of feel like you've inspired me to go out and do the same type of thing.
