For sheer ridiculous smushiness:

Snuggle Puppy - sung by Eric Stoltz (who looks remarkably like Pheo)

...in fact almost all of the Philadelphia Chickens CD is ridiculous animal songs. (You really can't miss Scott Bakula's Pig Island...well, maybe you should.)

Another thought:

The Who, "Boris the Spider"
Beatles, "Rocky Raccoon"
Bob Dylan, "Quit Kickin' My Dog Around" ... basement tapes, KILLER fun!

Uh...

*fails* I'll come up with more.

I've also got "Boris the Spider"...favourite Who song. :)
"Lions" Tones on Tail
"Rain Dogs" Tom Waits
"Filipino Box Spring Hog" Tom Waits (Does it count it they're food?)
"Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" Primus (What? What did you think they were singing about?)
"Shock the Monkey" Peter Gabriel
"Insects" Oingo Boingo
"7 Days to the Wolves" Nightwish
"Black Dog" Led Zeppelin
"Dog New Tricks" Garbage
"Supervixen" Garbage (Okay, a lot of these are stretching it. But I like foxes, and it's the only remotely fox-related song in my collection.)
"Crocodile Rock" Elton John
"Better Metal Snake" and "Thunderhorse" Dethklok (How can you resist a list with Elton John *and* Dethklok?)
"Surfin' Cow" Dead Milkmen (There are, what, 15 words in this song? Well, one of them is 'cow!')
"I Wanna Be Your Dog" Iggy and the Stooges
"The Man with the Dogs" Dead Kennedys
"The Lovecats" The Cure
"Here Comes The Snake" Cherry Poppin' Daddies
"Hey Bulldog" The Beatles

And, coming in at #1...

"Teddy Bears' Picnic" (Okay, I already posted this one for Mrwrk's theme song, but...er... *runs*)

Animals
Let's Talk Dirty to the Animals - Gilda Radner (swearz!)
Pet Shop (sketch) - Monty Python

Animal - Prick
Cry of the Vatos - Oingo Boingo
No Spill Blood - Oingo Boingo
Animal Magic - Peter Gabriel
Are you Gonna Be My Animal? - C.H.A.O.S. Productions (awesome muppet mash-up)
Closer - Richard Cheese

Feline
Love Cats - The Cure (but also a great cover by Tricky)
Cat People - David Bowie (I'd recommend the official soundtrack version)
Leopard Tree Dream - Giorgio Moroder (Also from the Cat People OST, slinky instrumental)
The Lion Sleeps Tonight - The Tokens (but if you ask me, Lebo M's version is waaay better)
The Kitten Song - Steven Wright

Canine/Lupine
Soft Dog - Peter Gabriel (a rare track, largely instrumental, but actually sounds like a big, loping dog)
Hounds of Love - Kate Bush
Dogs of Lust - The The
Hungry Like the Wolf - Duran Duran
Tyler Bates - The Wolf (instrumental, 300 score)
Dead Puppies - Ogden Edsl

Avian
Little Bird - Annie Lennox
Know Your Chicken - Cibo Matto (swearz!)

Aquatic
Rock Lobster - B-52s
Help, I'm a Fish! - Little Trees
The Dolphin's Cry - Live
Fish Heads - Barnes & Barnes
The Marvelous Mechanical Fish - I Hate This Place (not as creepy as The Spider Song, but still kinda creepy... a Wild Grace favorite. ;) )

Reptiles
Cold Hearted Snake - Paula Abdul
King of Snake - Underworld
Reptiles and Samurai - Oingo Boingo
Big Lizard - The Dead Milkmen
Reptile - The Church

Dinosaurs
Pterodactyl Song - Maria Bamford

Puff, the Magic Dragon - Peter, Paul, and Mary
The Unicorn - The Irish Rovers

Insects
Insects - Oingo Boingo
The Spider Song - I Hate This Place
XTC - Fly On Your Wall
Eric, the Half a Bee Song - Monty Python
The Scorpion Sleeps - Rob Zombie

Other
The Lone Rhinocerous - Adrian Belew
Sexy Rhino - Adrian Belew (it's less than a minute long)
Shock the Monkey - Peter Gabriel (but also Coal Chamber w/ Ozzy or... Don Ho. Yes, that's right. Don Ho)
Monkey Shot - Audio War (a breakbeat track that sadly doesn't actually mention monkeys)
White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane (great covers by Blue Man Group and Collide)
Rats- Rasputina
Rats - Pearl Jam
Fox On the Run - Sweet
Beast of Burden - The Rolling Stones (or Bette Midler)
Wild Horses - The Rolling Stones (or Charlotte Martin)
Mr. Zebra - Tori Amos

...I'm stopping there. ;)
