Yeah, I don't do them very often, but this one has been kicking around in my head for the last few weeks.

Monday, September 17th, starting at 7:00pm I have my shortest play list ever as I bring you, The Longs!

Yep, enjoy an evening of some of the longer popular songs ever released.

What makes a "long song"? Glad you asked, it has to be longer than 5:59 and have received at least some radio air play when it was released. (So no goofy spoken word/Gregorian Chant/techno remixes/etc)

Why 5:59? Well, that's the length of the longest ever #1 hit, Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.

So tune into The Cape for a "Long Storm", Monday September 17th.

I was planning on holding off playing Alice's until my show the week of Thanksgiving.

Have not totally decided on playing it next week though.

Can't think of much else that hasn't been covered already...

but if you can find it, Jackson Browne's "The Load-Out" runs about nine minutes.

:)

Edited: PG beat me to "Funeral for a Friend"!! I lose!

Oh well, back to work!

Do you have the long version of Orbital - The Box [ I did but I accidently deleted it [ stupid monkey]] - its 28 minutes, but its actually got the beautifaul singing part near the last half of it.

Nevermind - I don't think it got air-play.

This Corrosion - Sisters of Mercy - I think its like 7-8 minutes, maybe longer
