The Aerosmith/DMC one stands out as it basically re-launched Aerosmith as a band.

I remember a VMA back in the '90's that featured Pearl Jam and Neil Young doing Rockin' in the Free World.

The recent Green Day/U2 collaboration upon the re-opening of the Superdome after Katrina was an odd paring too.
