On of the other options is to add in a plugin that would allow for more worlds. The downside is the current ones I've seen tend to mess with nether and end portals. Not that the nether portals are not currently acting weird. ...

I would prefer a multiworld plugin approach. This amounts to adding a serverside plugin that allows for portals to alternate worlds, fresh for generation. Should wait for the update before we do this, obviously, but this way we can make use of the new shinies without completely abandoning our current achievements.

As of right now the server still uses 1.2.5 (the old Minecraft version) the biggest limiter right now is when the main mod used (Bukkit) gets updated for 1.3.

Currently I have no plans on rebooting the world, so your stuff should be fine. Once 1.3 is installed on the server I'm going to take a look at how best to add in the worlds to get the new stuff.

((If you have updated to to 1.3, there are files on the main Minecraft site that will allow you to install an older build until the server can be upgraded.))


I'll keep everyone posted once the server gets updated though.
