So, I have an almost-completed "tourist attraction" for a place. It's labeled as "Angel's Observatory & Restaurant, Coming Soon!" So far, it has a storage area that's pretty well labeled as to what's what in the "Gift Shoppe." I'm hoping to finish the restaurant area today, but it should have some storage areas for food and whatnot for you to enjoy. The observatory will take a while to complete, but, it will be worth it. There is a rail line that connects Crypto's place to mine, via an underground tunnel, so have fun!

Just, please don't harvest (kill) my sheep. Sheer them if you'd like, but I have a way of thinning the herd, so to speak. Also, I have sugar cane; please don't harvest it completely to sand. I have 4 cacti outside; please don't harvest all three layers of those. I think that's it. OH! There's an enchantment table on the second story in the "Library" that is free to use, however, please don't take anything out of the chests in "Angel's Quarters." Thanks!

I'm of the opinion that if you have something that grows back, e.g. tree farm, cactus, sugar cane, etc. then you should allow folks to harvest it if they need it, so long as they re-plant when they're done.

As for what I've been doing...

Huge American flag, the wool and dyes were mostly gathered by Lummi and Talviar. Big props to them.

I have a small wheat farm in my basement, but I realized that the design I used could easily be stacked on itself, and why build something big like that underground where no one can see it?

This one is too big to get it all in one shot...

This is my attempt at building the Washington Monument in Minecraft. It's full size in the world, but no details on the inside; it's completely hollow.

My latest project, started out as a simple yin-yang symbol made from water and lava, but then my wife suggested I add earth and air to go with the water and fire. I don't think I've seen a four-sectioned symbol like this before, but I think it turned out good.

...that's why, for now, to make it easy, just don't harvest that last square. :-) I'm not on *every* night, so I can't replant if you take more than you're able to put back. But, if you need to, just let me know. I'm pretty generous.

...except to the person who chose to mine under my establishment. >:-C DIAF!

Dude, I may hijack that concept for a freaking tattoo. That is INSANELY cool.

It's possible I may have been over-enthusiastic about building a rail tunnel across the island. I was hitting the occasional shaft, which I didn't think anything about but may have gone through a basement or two. :(

I'll have to hop on later this weekend to try to repair the damage. If Kittenrailways has caused any inconvenience, we are sorry, and will try to fix things!

So an update!

As of now it seems Minecraft will be updating to ver. 1.3 on Aug 1st.

What this means, as soon as the MC update goes live i should be able to push it to the server. however there ma be a number of restarts and updates as all the plugins get advanced for it. As of right now this does not mean that the current map will be lost or changed. however other alterations may come into effect.

There are some compelling reasons to restart the map and start with a fresh world with the new patch.

-The new trading system requires emeralds, which can only be obtained from the hilly biomes.
-Not to mention the closest NPC village is a smoking ruin.
-The new 'Large Biome' world type. (I personally look forward to playing in this mode)
-Desert villages.
-Temples.

I think when the time comes, we should vote on a reset.

I think it's possible to save the current world file, and people could download it and keep their work?

I would like to join as "Corvus" please. It will take me some time to relearn to play the game, but eventually I'd like to get back to building my bizarre floating cities and glass towers. (I'd really like to build another underwater city, but the server I did that on had a special mod that turned full suits of gold armor into diving suits...)
