Oh no! And people were hoping to find him, IIRC?

Is your friend going to be okay, do you think?

The search party on Sunday found him. I'm just... relieved that neither of his kids found the body.

Honestly? I don't know. She's... not handling it well. No one is.

*hugs* That's not really something anyone can handle well, I'm afraid. The husband of one of my old high school acquaintances committed suicide last year, and while my only connection is through Facebook, and she's filtered a lot of what she's posted, I still ache for her and her children and all they've been going through.

I agree with your relief that neither of his kids found the body. They're going to have enough scars to deal with. *hugs* for them too.

I think the worst part is hearing about how my friend is having to sign papers for things like cremation and his stuff and... it's just so... cold, the way the outside world handles someone's death. You have this group of people who are lost and hurt and sad and in a horrible way and all anyone else cares about is that all the legal stuff is in order.

I'll pass along the hugs and well wishes to her and her brother. I just wish I knew something I could do to make them maybe not hurt as much. They want someone to be mad at, but they don't want to be mad at him. Which leaves them blaming themselves, and it's a spiral and very unhealthy and I don't know what to do. I should really stop talking about this though. 2012 is fired, I demand a refund and a new year.

Professional counseling. Please.

The father of a a good friend of mine in high school had a chronic cough and was short of breath so he went to the doctor. Doctor took x-rays, put them on the light box, then got called away for a moment. He looked at the xrays himself and saw the black spots in his lungs, assumed he had lung cancer because his mother had been a chain smoker and she had died horribly from it. He left the doctor's without talking to the doc, went straight home and committed suicide. Jeff found his dad. All he had was pneumonia.

He's told us many times that the only reason he's still alive is because his mom sent him to therapy immediately.

My Uncle, Robert, Passed away.

(Yes, Bob was Stormy's uncle)

I knew it was coming soon.

He suffered from Parkinsons - deteriorated from the big boisterous man I grew up with to a shruken, shaking shell of the man I knew. He had to go into care. Ended up with pneumonia so went into intensive care at the hospital where things just... deteriorated further. Choice was made to let him go.

He passed from this world Wednesday Morning, Australian Time.

Rest in peace, Uncle Bob.
