Hi there!

So you'd like to have The Cape develop a spiffy audio advertisement for your supergroup, hm? Excellent! We can totally do that!

Let's go over what you need to do and how it works...

First, your group needs to have been around for at least 3 months on the Virtue server.

Second, your group needs a website. Why? Well, it's because in return for creating a Super Group Advertisement (SGA) for you, we ask that you feature one of our banners on your group's website. Fair enough, right?

A selection of banners can be found here.

Next, you need to fill out our SGA application and post it in the application thread. Applications posted in the forums as new threads will be deleted.

After your application is posted, you should receive a PM response from me, the SGA Coordinator, within a few days or so, that either approves your application, declines it, or requests more information.

Please keep in mind, producing an SGA requires an investment of time and energy from our staff. In order to feel comfortable in making that investment, we need to have a certain measure of confidence in any group that we'll be promoting to our listeners. We must feel that the group is relatively stable, has some degree of player support and activity, and isn't merely a vanity group for a single player.

If your SGA application doesn't instill the necessary level of confidence, it may be declined. Alternatively, we may ask for more information, or even an in-game review of your group.

Once an application is approved, it's on to the development phase. The first step of that will be the script, which will be PMed to you for your input. Then, when the script is finalized, production of the SGA will begin. As long as there are no complications, production shouldn't take longer than a couple of weeks.

When the SGA is ready to go, we'll check your website. If our banner is up, the SGA will be made available (posted in this subforum) and we'll start playing it on the station.

New SGAs are included in our rotation for roughly two months. However, if you so choose, you can keep it playing longer than that. To keep your SGA in rotation, all you need to do is "refresh" it by posting here before its rotation time expires (in the thread started for your group).

Every time you refresh your SGA, it'll get an additional 2 months of play, and there's no limit on how many times you can refresh it. As long as you periodically let us know your group's still active (and you still have our banner on your website), we'll keep playing the ad. In fact, even if your SGA drops out of rotation, you can restart it at any time just by checking in.

That said, it should come as no surprise that we don't want to be advertising closed or inactive SGs. If your group stops recruiting or is disbanding, and we're still running your SGA, please let us know what's going on, so we can pull the ad out of rotation. Also, if we hear that an SG we're advertising has gone dormant or unresponsive, we reserve the right to stop playing the SGA immediately.

Okay! I think that just about covers it. But if you have any questions, feel free to ask 'em here!

And thank you for choosing The Cape!

I do have a question. One of our SG members has put together ads/voiceovers in the past for in-game groups/events in other games.

He's asked me if it'd be possible for him to put the ad together. Can we do that?

Also, I think it'd be helpful to maybe listen to recording(s) of SGAs already done by the Cape to get a good idea. I can send you his stuff as well. Maybe over IM or email ...

While I won't say no, I will say that we've a strong preference to keep the production work in-house.

With that in mind, I'd suggest that you have him contact me directly in PM, here, to discuss the possibility.

All currently active SGAs are available for download on our multimedia page.
