So I've snapped like a dry twig and booked a flight to London, UK for a week. (not long enough, but its what I could get). I fly there on wednesday.

I'm staying within the city and its environs. (While there are many places that fascinate me that are outside of London, I have to start somewhere.)

I'll have no problems getting myself into interesting trouble, and seeing the sights... however, if there are any particular places you would commend to my attention (and perhaps a word or two as to why you commend it), please do let me know.

The Winchester is a nice pub... just be mindful of the zombies :P

Seriously, all I really know of London is the traditional tourist spots (Tower of London, changing of guard at Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, etc. ) ... perhaps some of our UK resident Capesters could help more.

Ashes to ashes,
DJ Pheonyx

EDIT: Check www.visitlondon.com; this is the site for the Official London Guide from the tourist bureau; this should help you maximize your tourist-y time.

Go to the Globe. They refurbished the stage and put all the old boards down in the front lobby. Can can literally tread the stage at the Globe by just walking in.

Go see the ravens at the Tower. Try to be there for feeding time.

Go to the Borough Market in Southwark. Go hungry and take lots of bags with you.
