At the top of the second hour of my new show "Roots of Rock" I will feature a Beatles doubleshot called "Liverpool 2x4." (Get it? Two songs by the Fab Four? I kill me.) Anyway, the point is that I'm going to open up this feature to requests for your favorite Beatles songs. Keep in mind I'm going to try not to repeat any Beatles songs for a while, so don't be afraid to go for the deep tracks! If I play your request on the air, I'll give you a shoutout!

Reply to this thread with the Beatles songs you want to hear on "Liverpool 2x4."

"Yellow Submarine" and "Octopus's Garden"

Ringo didn't get a lot of lead vocal parts in their songs, so this is a Ringo-centric 2x4

Ashes to ashes,

Seeing as the Beatles were perhaps the first group willing to self-consciously sing about their own fame, I propose the following:

Glass Onion
The Ballad of John and Yoko

And to follow up with Pheo's idea:

Yellow Submarine & Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/A Little Help From My Friends (cause you really can't play one w/o the other).
