Purple Passion is a special audio presentation, which will be aired during the EROS and SORE events... brought to you by the Cape and DJ Enigma's Puzzle Factory.

The presentation is in 8 parts, one for each of the DJ's broadcasting during these events.

The segments will come on about midway through a DJ's block. So, the first one will play sometime around 7 PM EST during DJ Logos' "Enchantment", and the last will be heard around 1 AM EST during DJ Vangelus' "Endings".

Keep an ear out for them! You won't want to miss a minute of this shocking expose'!

I was listening to this as I was grocery shopping, tonight. Nothing gets you more odd looks then when you cackling madly in the produce section. ^_^

Who did the blooper bit with the talking done at high speed? The one about the cold...

And, dear gods, it was bad enough that my image of flashlights was ruined, but maps, too?!

The story behind that...

If you're working at a sampling rate of 44100 and someone sends you a file that was recorded at half that rate... when you listen to it, they'll sound like a chipmunk.

So, imagine my amusement when I opened Posthaste's contribution (at 22050 Hz) and heard, "goshdarn-chest-flashlight-couldbehandyinablackout-knees-duckie-ottoman..." squeaked at me in a rapid-fire chipmunk delivery. Naturally, I let it run its course, just to have myself a giggle.

But then Posty had put a 'secret message' at the end of one file, venting about his health woes... and, well... hearing it sped up like that had me on the floor in stitches.

I'm not sure that was the reaction he had intended to invoke, but... there it is.

So, what you're hearing in the blooper segment is that original 22050 Hz recording.

And that's the story!
