Little story you might enjoy, PH. A bunch of years ago, a friend and I went to see ohGr at a club show. We arrived a little later than we had wanted to, and ended up getting into a line that already extended around the corner and down the block from the club's front door. That was fine though. There was still plenty of time and everybody was in a good mood. It was a club we frequented, so there was a certain sense of community, I guess you could say, even though we weren't near anybody we knew personally.

Then all of a sudden...the skies opened. I mean, torrential downpour. This sounds like hyperbole, but I swear it's not. Within minutes of the rain starting, the water running down the street was almost up to the top of the curbs. A few people tried to crowd into doorways, but there was just no escape. We all just started laughing. And then as quickly as it came, it stopped. By the time we got inside the club, it was once again a pleasant, early evening. But it was too late for us. Everybody in that line was soaked through to the skin. When we got to the bar, I started laying out the cash that had been in my jean's pocket and drying it off with napkins, which just set the bartender to laughing. Yes...I was in jeans and boots. My friend, in her barely-there mini-skirt, was much better off. So then, after drinks have been ordered and the bathroom floors were soaked with people wringing out their clothes, everybody crowds onto the dance floor for the start of the show and I mean... we were just making steam. I never did dry off until I got home, hours later, and out of those clothes.

But I'll tell you, the show was worth every raindrop.
