Wow, have I ever been a slacker, we didn't have a Poetry Slam at all last year!

So it's WAY past time to do another one. March has 5 Wednesdays, so March 31st it is!

For those not familiar with a Poetry Slam, here's how it works: You send me a recording of yourself reading a poem. Any poem, whether it's your own work or just one of your favorites. Then I match it up with a song (you can suggest one, too) and I play them on the air.

Tips: when making your recording, introduce yourself at the beginning and say the title of the poem and who it's by. Leave about 5 seconds of dead air at the end of the recording so SAM doesn't eat your last few words.

Actually, is there a limit to the number of poems we can submit? I'm thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of three or four... and only one of them would be my own work.

I've had people submit three or four before. It all depends on the total number of submissions I get if I'll be able to play them all. Might be good if you submit several to rank them, so if I do have to cut one or two, I can be sure your favorites are in this show. The extras I'll save for the next one.
