I'll be covering for DJ Pollux and DJ Castor and taking the Time Machine to Planet X from 7PM to 10PM Eastern on September 14th and 21st! On the 14th we'll be Taking a Trip, playing the best of the psychedelic rock of the late 60s and early 70s. On the 21st, we'll Bring the Groove to Planet X with a selection of disco and funk. See you all there!

He's not 70s, but he's definitely got the funk going in a lot of his stuff. Stevie Salas.

I'll throw out a few ideas, take whichever sound like the best fit:

The O'Jays, "For the Love of Money"

Stevie Wonder, "Sir Duke," "Living For the City," "Superstition," "Boogie On Reggae Woman..." Stevie was red hot in the 70s.

Just for Coz, Rick Dees, "Disco Duck"

Earth Wind & Fire "Boogie Wonderland," "September," or "Getaway"

Rose Royce, "Car Wash."

I second the P-Funk motion made earlier.

I'll be interested in hearing what you choose for your psychedelic rock night, though my tastes aren't well enough developed to give any suggestions.
