Technically Prometheus had that done to him both because of the fire thing, AND because he taught humanity it was possible to pull a fast one on the gods, but most tellings gloss over the later bit. :P

An intriguing movie premise, from the looks of things... seems to be hinting at the hypothetical "technological singularity" a number of sci-fi series have played with. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

*edit*

Oh... it's another Alien movie. *all his interest suddenly dies, for some reason* >.>

Having become a recent fan of the Saints Row franchise with Saints Row 3, I found myself thinking of it when I saw this video -- the young Saints perhaps? Some of you may not have a taste for dubstep, but I present this here as much for for the visual aspect as the musical.

I see your beer and raise you ice cream

Image

The Funky Buddha's Maple Bacon Coffee Porter is currently the number one new beer in the country on beeradvocate.com. Look! How cool is that? Aren't you Floridians proud? In honor of all of their success, here's some ice cream made with their famous beer. So that makes this the number one new ice cream in the country, right? The delicious flavors of the porter work wonderfully for this. It's like an extra yummy coffee ice cream. And I couldn't resist adding some bacon that was cooked in brown sugar :)

Inspired by the Animusic video "Pipe Dream", Intel created a real life interpretation:

And now for something completely different:

Darth Vader in a kilt while playing the bagpipes on a unicycle.

Makes me wonder if he's related to the Boba Fett accordion guy I linked here awhile back.

Gratz to Kyudo Kamen for posting the 1000th post in the Thread of Epic Awesomeness.

Seriously. Darth Vader + Bagpipes + Unicycle + Kilt [remainder of equation marred by explosive head awesomexplosion]

Yep. Darth Vader. In a kilt. On a unicycle. Playing the bagpipes.

YOUR ARGUMENTS ARE NOW INVALID.

*takes bows* Thanks much for the kudos, my awesome peers. Though I'm tempted to just sit back and let the bagpipe-Vader awesomeness soak in for awhile, I have discovered something that some of you -may- already know about, but I thought I'd share here for those who don't. Considering this is where the meme "Epic Sax Guy" comes from, I thought it was perfectly appropriate that it come here to the Thread of Epic Awesomeness:
